- Class Rosters: Class rosters come from the Registrar's
Office and are distributed when received in the C&I Office. Temporary
class rosters are available from the C&I Office upon request. Please
contact Marge Speer at 895-0889.
- Contracts: Contracts must be signed prior to the beginning
of classes each semester. They will be available for signature at the
Adjunct Orientation.
- Copies and Duplicating: The C&I Office Staff is available
to help you with making copies. Do not copy class packets or
multiple page articles for the entire class. Please provide materials
to be copied at least one week in advance of when it will be needed.
Do not copy personal materials or materials you need for your
own graduate studies. The Publications/Reprographics service offers
full-time and part-time faculty sale and reproduction of their classroom
handout materials through the UNLV Bookstore. For additional information,
call 895-3213 or contact Marilyn Thompson in the C&I Office at
895-3397.
- Copyrights: A copy of "Questions and Answers on Copyright
for the Campus Community" is available for review in the C&I
Office.
- Employee ID Cards: Employee ID cards will be available from
Marge Speer upon signing your contract.
- Equipment: Equipment for class use between 7:00 a.m. and
5:00 p.m. can be scheduled with Marilyn Thompson in the C&I Office.
Equipment for class use after 5:00 p.m. must be scheduled through Telemedia
Services at 895-0701.
- Evaluations--faculty: At the end of the course, students
will complete confidential evaluations on your teaching effectiveness.
The packet containing the forms will be in your mailbox prior to the
last class. You will select a student to be responsible for administering
the evaluation and for returning it, sealed, to the Office Manager.
- Evaluations--student: The C&I Office requires student
evaluations for each class that you teach. Packets, with instructions,
will be placed in your mailbox before the last week of the semester.

- Human Subjects in Research: The University's policy on
the use of human subjects in research projects may be obtained from
the Office of Research, 895-4240.
- Mail Room: Each adjunct professor has a mailbox. Check your
mailbox frequently.
- Mail Service: All outgoing mail is collected from the C&I
Office twice daily. Personal mail is not picked up or delivered.
- Parking Permits: Parking permits are available at the UNLV
Public Safety Department on Harmon Avenue with a valid Employee ID
card.
- Payroll: Payroll checks are issued the last working day of
each month. They are available for you to pick up in the Dean's
Office, CEB 301.
- Sexual Harrassment: It is the policy of the University of
Nevada, Las Vegas, to maintain the University community as a place
to work and study for staff, faculty, and students, free of sexual
harassment and all forms of sexual intimidation and exploitation. For
more information, contact the Affirmative Action Office, 895-3773.
- Study Week: The following policy concerning study week was
approved by the Faculty Senate in 1987:
*To ensure that students have the proper time to prepare for final
examinations, the week before final exams shall be designated as
a study week, in which classes will meet as scheduled but during
which faculty members are encouraged to refrain from giving major
tests (i.e., hour-long, sit-down, written exams). The policy shall
not affect such assignments as laboratory finals, performance exams
such as in Theater, Music, and Dance), short quizzes,term papers,
final reports, and similar activities.
- Textbooks: Marge Speer places all orders for class texts.
