Admission will be limited to the most qualified applicants based on a combination of the following:

  1.   An undergraduate grade-point average of 3.00 or above.
  2.   If graduate coursework has been completed, a graduate grade-point average of 3.00 or above.
  3.   A combined score of 1000 on the verbal and quantitative sections of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).
  4.   A score of 600 or above on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is also required for students who

  5.   Three letters of reference from university faculty or other individuals qualified to judge the applicant's academic potential.
  6.   The applicant's statement of professional interests and goals.

Your first step in the admission process is the completion of two application forms: an application for the UNLV Graduate College and a Department application for the Ph.D. in Learning & Technology.

The Graduate College online admission process is available here.

The department application forms are available in the main office of the Educational Psychology Department (Carlson Education Building, Room 221) or can be downloaded as a pdf file using the links below. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader Program to download, prepare, and then print the application form. Information can now be typed directly into the application form, but it is not submitted online. Instead, you will mail or deliver the completed form and requested attachments to the department office (Educational Psychology Department, UNLV, P.O. Box 453003, Las Vegas, NV 89154-3003). Deadline for receipt of materials is February 1.
