This class incorporates gentle yoga for the health of the lower back, body mechanics as they apply to daily living habits: posture, proper breathing, relaxation techniques, and stretching.
Provides students with a program of Hatha Yoga asanas, pranayama, and relaxation techniques. Through daily practice, some of the benefits of yoga include increases flexibility of body and mind, increased muscle tone, strength, balance and coordination, energy, decreased stress, and the ability to relax deeply.
Prerequisite: PEX 134B
Emphasis on in-depth exploration of yoga asanas and their relationship to chakras. Students will work on maintaining asanas for expended periods of time as well as extensive work with pranayama.
