Mission Statement
The Center provides leadership to the PK-12 education community in the form of policy analysis, research, and program evaluation in the areas of school
improvement. It serves as a conduit for raising public awareness of issues that potentially impact education policy trends.
Goals and Objectives
Goals for the Center include:
- Identifying significant policy issues anticipated to effect education in the region and nationwide, for which the skills and talent of the UNLV College of
Education can be applied to policy and program evaluation studies.
- Organize an annual education policy forum series sponsored by the Center. The purpose is to promote understanding of those both inside and outside of the
University. The forum series serves as an impetus for College of Education students and faculty to engage in policy analyses and research ventures while serving
to heighten the awareness of significant matters affecting education.
- Expand the reputation of the UNLV College of Education as a leader in educational policy analysis and program evaluation research.
