Bryan Resnick - SEL Graduate and Academic All-American
Bryan Resnick was named to the 2009 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American team. Bryan is the first Academic All-American in UNLV Baseball history. The Department of Sports Education Leadership is very excited for Bryan. Read more about Bryan Resnick.
The Center for Sport Education in the department of Sport Education Leadership is proud to announce that Dr. Nancy Lough, will assume the role as Editor of the Journal of Contemporary Athletics effective 2009.
This journal has become synonymous with various issues pertaining to athletic administration and was formerly housed at the University of Maryland. With this unique opportunity to house a peer reviewed journal, the Center will have the opportunity to increase its visibility and promote the scholarship considered exemplary in athletic administration, sport management and related areas.

Dr. Lough, on another note, has recently been appointed to the executive board for the Sports Marketing Association. The Sport Marketing Association (SMA) endeavors to develop beneficial relationships between sport marketing professionals and academicians through expansion of the field's body of knowledge and multiple forums for professional interactions. With her background and affinity for sport marketing, Dr. Lough is looking forward to serving on this prestigious board alongside other highly recognized sport marketing scholars and practitioners.

Congratulations!!! Dr. Monica Lounsbery for being receiving the Get Healty Hero Award this past spring from the Southern Nevada Health District. This award is given based on Dr. Lounsbery's contributions to various projects conducted by the Chronic Diseaseand Injury Prevention Program. She also serves as expert community consultant for the Get Healthy Clark County Community Challenge.
