Dr. Hughes is currently serving as the Executive Director of the Nevada Athletic Directors Association. In this capacity he organizes the annual NADA conference held in February in conjunction with the State Basketball Tournament. This years conference will explore the use of steroids by high school athletes. Dr. Hughes has also arranged UNLV credit for conference attendees. The SEL Department will continue with its Lecture Series Engagments This Spring by bringing in Mrs. Maria Newton who is considered an expert in Organizational Motivation.
