Biographical Description: Dr. Gelfer serves as the coordinator of early childhood programs. He teaches courses in early childhood education, literacy and parent education. Dr. Gelfer serves as the program editor for the Early Childhood Education Journal. He has published over 30 articles, co-authored one textbook and has received over 28 million dollars in grant awards. His research interests are in program development, portfolio assessment and evaluation, inclusion, child development and family education.
