Mission of Alumni Development
Our students make a difference while attending the College of Education, and then locally, nationally and across the globe throughout their lifetime. Our graduates return our pride in their success by helping the College continue to strive to become among the best public universities in the country.
Through participation in our alumni association and with generous donations that fund scholarships, endowed chairs and other needs, our alumni and friends demonstrate their support for The College of Education’s long-standing commitment to excellence in teaching, research and community service.
You may attend here for only a few years… but the knowledge, skills and values you learned during your time in the College of Education will remain with you for a lifetime.
COE Annual Golf Tournament
The College of Education is looking for player participation or sponsorships for our College of Education Annual Golf Tournament that will be held at the Tournament Players Club Las Vegas Golf on Friday August 29, 2008.
All proceeds from the tournament will directly benefit the UNLV College of Education's Troops To Teachers, Spouses To Teachers, and Family Members of Severely Wounded Soldiers Programs. These programs help recruit quality teachers for schools that serve students from low-income families throughout America. Special focus is directed towards relieving teacher shortages in math, science, special education and other critical subject areas. Another benefit to these programs is that they assist military personnel in making successful transitions to a career after military service. A network of Troops to Teachers Offices has been established to provide participants with counseling and assistance regarding certification requirements, routes to state certification, and employment leads.
