LiveText in Field Experiences
LiveText is currently used to manage the eletronic assessment portion of the UNLV College of Education's Field Experience system. Find out how LiveText will impact your field training by reading the information below.
LiveText Information For Field Experience Students
The following checklist below is suggested for students enrolled in Field Experiences:
- Register for a LiveText Account
- Login to LiveText to review submissions by your assigned mentor teacher, and if applicable, field supervisor.
- Complete the Student Teaching Exit Survey (Offered online three weeks before the end of student teaching)
LiveText Information For Field Experience Supervisors
The following checklist below is suggested for supervisors participating in Field Experiences:
- Register for a Lotus Notes Email Account
- Register for a LiveText Account
- Attend LiveText Training
- Collect Cooperating Teachers' Email Addresses
- Submit Observations/Evaluations Online in LiveText
- Provide support to mentor teachers
- Encourage students enrolled in student teaching to complete the Student Teaching Exit Survey
LiveText Information For Field Experience Mentor Teachers
The following checklist below is suggested for mentor teacher working with a student enrolled in Field Experiences:
- Provide your contact information (name, email address, and schoo name) to the UNLV College of Education Field Experiences Supervisor you are working with
- Submit Observations/Evaluations Online in LiveText
- Video Tutorial: Working With Rubrics (QuickTime | M4V | YouTube)
- Field Experience Observation/Evaluation Form
Note: This is the paper form of what you will fill out and submit in LiveText. You may print these to use as reference documentation however your final submission should be in LiveText. Do not turn this in to your supervisor or to the Office of Field Experiences. - Field Experience Evaluation Criteria
- Upon student request, go over submitted observation/evaluation with him/her.
