Student Teaching
How long am
I at the school each week?
- Student Teaching takes place during Regular
CCSD School Hours. Times differ depending on grade level and
school. You will be provided this information at Orientation.
When does Practicum
begin and end?
- Fall and Spring Student Teaching starts
with CCSD and generally ends the week before finals week. Please
consult your schedule for exact dates. Start and End dates for
each semester can be found in the Undergraduate Catalog & Graduate Catalog under "Academic Calendar".

- Summer session Student Teaching (Elementary)
generally lasts 14 weeks starting the first week after Spring
Finals weeks. Usually this takes place during all three UNLV
Summer Sessions. Start and End dates for each semester can be
found in the Undergraduate Catalog & Graduate Catalog under "Academic Calendar".

Practicum
How long am I at the
school each week?
- Summer Practicum(Elementary)
times are always M-TH, 8:00am-12:00pm.
- Fall and Spring Practicums take
place twice a week (Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday) for
3 hours at a time, totaling 6 hrs a week. Consult your Receipt
for the times you selected.
When does Practicum
begin and end?
- Summer Practicums takes
place during the first two summer sessions. Start and End dates
for each semester can be found in the Undergraduate Catalog & Graduate Catalog under "Academic Calendar".
