I am already a subsitute teacher and already have been fingerprinted by the CCSD. Do I have to do it again?

Those who might have been fingerprinted for substitute teaching recently should contact CCSD 702-799-1092 regarding their specific fingerprinting requirements.

Why do I have to be fingerprinted for practicum?

As part of a new regulation, CCSD is requiring ALL Field Experience students to be fingerprinted prior to placement. If you have any questions regarding this policy, please contact the Clark County School District.

I have a Sheriff's Card/have been fingerprinted by the State of Nevada/have been fingerprinted by Clark County. Do I have to do it again?

Yes! As stated above, the CCSD requires separate fingerprint report for Field Experience students. If you have any questions about this policy, please contact the Clark County School District.

Why do I have to be printed again? Doesn't the CCSD keep my fingerprints?

Fingerprints are sent to the FBI. The FBI issues a single report to CCSD, and prints are destroyed. It is a regulation that anyone entering CCSD in a capacity where they can be left alone with students is fingerprinted, no matter how many divisions they work with/for.

Will I have to be fingerprinted next semester?

Depends. If you are completing a continuous placement in CCSD schools, you will not have to be printed again. For example, if you complete your courses Summer 2003, Fall 2003, Spring 2004, you will not have to be printed again. However, if you skip a semester, you will need to be re-printed prior to placement.
