Yes, students without passing PPST Scores are allowed to apply for field experiences and must do so before the posted deadline. Students must take and pass all three portions of the PPST and provide the results to UNLV prior to registering for the applicable field experience course.

As part of a new regulation, CCSD is requiring ALL Field Experience students to be fingerprinted prior to placement. If you have any questions regarding this policy, please contact the Clark County School District.

Fingerprints are sent to the FBI. The FBI issues a single report to CCSD, and prints are destroyed. It is a regulation that anyone entering CCSD in a capacity where they can be left alone with students is fingerprinted, no matter how many divisions they work with/for.

Depends. If you are completing a continuous placement in CCSD schools, you will not have to be printed again. For example, if you complete your courses Summer 2003, Fall 2003, Spring 2004, you will not have to be printed again. However, if you skip a semester, you will need to be re-printed prior to placement.
