Mission and Goals

The mission and goals of the Department of Educational Psychology involve the educational process from the nursery through graduate school. Our students are prepared for professional careers in schools, universities, research labs, and in the private sector. We are committed to:

• conducting cutting edge research in foundations and applications in educational and school psychology,
• meeting local, regional, state, and national needs for school psychologists and program evaluators,
• providing service courses in learning & development, research methods, statistics & measurement to other campus units and the community.

Educational Psychology at UNLV is identified as one of the top 25 specialty programs in the latest U.S. News & World Report survey of best graduate programs nationwide.
