College of Education Reorganization:
Effective July 1, 2011, the UNLV College of Education has been reorganized from six departments into three departments. The Department of Educational Psychology, including its faculty and programs, have been reorganized into the Department of Educational Research, Cognition, & Development.

Mission and Goals:
The mission and goals of the Department of Educational Psychology involve the educational process from the nursery through graduate school. Our students are prepared for professional careers in schools, universities, research labs, and in the private sector. We are committed to:
- conducting cutting edge research in foundations and applications in educational and school psychology,
- meeting local, regional, state, and national needs for school psychologists and program evaluators,
- providing service courses in learning & development, research methods, statistics & measurement to other campus units and the community.
