College of Education Reorganization:

Effective July 1, 2011, the UNLV College of Education has been reorganized from six departments into three departments:

• The Department of Educational Leadership (EDL) has been closed as of July 1, 2011.
• The Higher Education programs and its faculty members Drs. Vicki Rosser and Mario Martinez have relocated to the new Department of Educational Research, Cognition, & Development. If you have questions email faculty members directly or call 702-895-1432 for more information related to this program.
• The Educational Leadership PK-12 Principalship programs and its faculty members Drs. Patrick Carlton, James Crawford, Gene Hall and Edith Rusch have relocated to the College of Urban Affairs. If you have questions, please email faculty members directly or call 702-895-3491 for more information related to this program. Dr. Rusch is the new program coordinator.
• Please email or call Dr. Clifford McClain (702-895-3860) for information related to the Business and Industry Workforce Education and Licensure programs.
• Please contact Dr. Clifford McClain (702-895-3860) or Dr. Howard Gordon (702-895-2729) for the Career and Technical Education programs (MEd and PhD), these faculty members and programs are now housed in the new department of Teaching and Learning. Students concerned about completing their degrees should contact their advisors or the College of Education.
• Please contact Dr. Cecelia Maldonado or Dr. Yeonsoo Kim for the new industry related workforce programs.
• Refer to the new faculty office locations document for information related to where former Educational Leadership faculty members are located.
